The Suffolk Early Childhood Development Commission, city of Suffolk and the Small Business Development Center of Hampton Roads will hold a “Building a Better Business Conference” from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverfront, 100 E. Constance Road.

The event is open to any Suffolk business, with a focus on the small business community. There will be breakout sessions with regional experts covering topics such as Internet marketing, QuickBooks, health care laws and their effects on small business, customer service, financial management and more.

The event is free and includes a continental breakfast and lunch for participants. Pre-registration concludes today.
