Multiple first place finishers, including an overall winner, represented Suffolk in Sunday’s Tidewater Striders Distance Series which was held at the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail in Chesapeake.

At the nine-mile distance, Billy Chorey Jr. took first out of all 44 male runners, which ranged in age from 25 to 73. The 32-year-old Chorey finished in 54 minutes and 49 seconds, four seconds faster than the runner-up.

Forty-year-old Christopher Leblanc was the fastest of two nine-mile runners in the 40 to 44 age group, finishing with a time of 1:11.49.

Corey Baxter, 31, was alone in the 30 to 34 age group, traversing the nine miles with a time of 1:05:40.
