Suffolk Public Schools sporting events scheduled for Thursday have been called off following the announcement that the schools will be closed for the day due to the weather.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s sporting events scheduled for Thursday have also been called off according to NSA athletic director Betty Jean Riddick.

Suffolk Christian Academy will also be closed on Thursday and all sports events have been postponed. The boys’ basketball road game against Chesapeake Bay Academy has been rescheduled for Feb. 10 with a 7 p.m. tip-off.
