PDCCC offers camera class

Paul D. Camp Community College is offering a beginner’s class for digital camera users.
“Beginner DSLR: Get More from Your Camera” will be held Jan. 28, Feb. 4 and Feb. 11 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the College’s Hobbs Suffolk Campus, 271 Kenyon Road.
The class covers basic camera mechanics, the selection of a file type, shooting modes, and flash. Photographers will learn about the fundamentals of exposure and will begin to understand shutter speeds, f-stops and ISO settings. White balance, metering modes, and focus will also be discussed and demonstrated.
Opportunities for outdoor shooting and take-home assignments will reinforce the classroom instruction. You can expect to leave this class with a deeper understanding of the capabilities of a DSLR camera and ability to fully utilize your camera to capture outstanding images.
