Henry James McDonald, 84 of 300 Linden Ave., Suffolk, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at his residence. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Henry Wilson McDonald and Sarah Jane Randell.

He is survived by his wife, Casandra McDonald; seven daughters; six sons; two sisters; one brother; nine grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon, Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by Suffragan Bishop Madison Copeland. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
