Donald Earl Gibson

Donald Earl Gibson, of 1202 Blythewood Lane, Suffolk, was transitioned to meet the Lord Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of the late Judith Gibson and Fred Hodges.

He attended John F. Kennedy High School. He was employed at Smithfield Packing Company. He was a deacon at Angelica Christian Worship Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Evelyn Boone Gibson; one son, Darnell Boone (Kim); one grandson, Kevon Boone; other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at noon at Greater Sweet Beulah Apostolic Church officiated by Elder Melvin A. Boone, Suffragan Bishop Madison Copeland, pastor. Interment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
