NSA goes through to state semifinals

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ volleyball team extended its win streak to 29 matches with a dominating home win over Norfolk Christian High School in the quarterfinals of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II state playoffs.
The Lady Saints took the games by the following scores: 25-9, 25-18, 25-7.
Senior outside hitter Kaylor Nash recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 12 digs. Junior middle blocker Caylin Harris had 13 kills, junior outside hitter Kaitlin Werner added eight more. Junior setter/libero Bridget Murphy registered 27 digs.
Nansemond-Suffolk (34-2) will play in the VISAA state semifinals at noon on Friday at Fredericksburg Christian School.
