Jean Barbara Crocker, 73, of Suffolk, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at her residence.

She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Elliott Langford and Virgielee Fulgham.

She attended Booker T. Washington High School. She retired as a pharmacy technician from Medicine Shop and Super Drug. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Randolph Crocker Sr.; seven sons, Ernest Ward Jr., Karl Gene Ward (Wilhemina), Steven Ward (Shea), Gary Ward (Phyllis), Dexter Crocker, Darcey Crocker and Randolph Crocker Jr. (Renee), all of Suffolk; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Chris Simpson of Hampton; a special cousin, Angela Miles; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, April 23, 2011, at First Baptist Church, 112 Mahan St., Suffolk, officiated by the Rev. Steven G. Blunt. A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011. Interment will be at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
