To the editor:

I am writing this letter concerning the upcoming sheriff’s election on Tuesday.

Suffolk is fortunate to have one of the finest and most experienced sheriffs in the commonwealth of Virginia. His 20 years of leadership and experience have saved taxpayers millions in the cost of managing the Sheriff’s Office.

In addition, he has assembled one of the most experienced staffs in the commonwealth of Virginia, and his accomplishments are second to none.

Who knows these opponents who are running against the sheriff, and where did they come from? A better question might be what have they done for the citizens of Suffolk? I have heard nothing about their qualifications, nor what they would do differently to improve the operation of the Sheriff’s Office.

I hope all Suffolk citizens will join me on Tuesday and re-elect Sheriff Raleigh H. Isaacs Sr.
