Bulldogs trump Patriots in five

The Denbigh High School boys’ volleyball team took King’s Fork High School to the brink, but did not push them over. The visiting Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a 27-25, 25-23, 21-25, 16-25, 15-13 victory on Tuesday evening.
King’s Fork’s Cal Bailey had 19 assists, six aces and 1.5 blocks while Aireon Leary registered nine kills.
The Bulldogs stand in first place in the Ironclad Conference, holding a 5-1 record, with a 10-8 record overall.
They play tonight at home in another conference game, this time against Heritage High School.
