The Nansemond River Duplicate Bridge Club has announced its winners for its Sept. 17 and 24 events.

On Sept. 17 the club had a four-table, one-winner event. Charles Miesch and Carroll Frohman took first in stratas A, B and C.

On Sept. 24, the club played in Section Tournament at Clubs. The club had five tables at its regular game in Suffolk, but the hands it played were also played by all the bridge clubs that meet on Tuesday evenings throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and part of Delaware.

Ron and Betty Aldaffer came in first in Strata A North/South at the Suffolk game and also finished first in the district. Carroll Frohman and Richard Hartman were second in that strata.

Charles and Carol Lynne Shotten were first in Strata A East/West, with Rebecca Hable and Robin Hicks second in that strata.
