Nicholas Isenhour Leverone

Nicholas Isenhour “Nick” Leverone, 19, a resident of Suffolk, and more recently of Phoenix, Ariz., returned home to be with the Lord Friday, Aug. 30, 2013. He is survived by parents, Don and Laura Leverone, of Suffolk; sister, Emily and brother, Tucker; fiancé, Kathryn Tallent; grandmother, Rebecca Watts Isenhour, of Taylorsville, N.C.; grandmother, Ann Leverone, of Vero Beach, Fla.; uncles, Robert M. Leverone, Stephen P. (Amy) Leverone, John T. Leverone, Richard E. (Jodi) Leverone, Dwight “Ikey” (Janie) Isenhour, Bobby (Becky) Isenhour; aunts, Edee Isenhour (JR) Powell, and Carol Isenhour (Kimbal) Danforth; future in-laws, Bret and Laura Tallent, of Phoenix, Ariz.; as well as many cousins. Nick was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Captain Robert M. Leverone and Dwight L. Isenhour; and his uncle, Ed Isenhour.

He was a 2012 honors graduate of Nansemond River High School, where he played soccer. Earlier in his life, he was active in ice hockey, baseball and lacrosse. He enjoyed many friends and “family” from those areas of his life, as well as from youth group at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church (WRPC). Nick had an enormous heart and an infectious personality. He will be remembered for his crazy antics as well as his love for the underdog.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at WRPC on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to “Hope For Suffolk” through WRPC. Please visit our Facebook page for Nick at “Rest in Paradise Nick Leverone.”
