Apprentice School senior Ben Hunter of Suffolk was named Golfer of the Week by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association after back-to-back medalist rounds last week, leading his team to victory in two tri-matches.

He opened the season with a 1-under-par 70 at Pine Hollow Golf Course in Clayton, N.C., where his team took first by four strokes.

The next day at the River Golf and Country Club in Louisburg, N.C., Hunter shot an even-par 71 to help his team take first by three strokes.

Hunter and the Builders will next compete in the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament hosted by Bridgewater College on Sept. 14 and 15.
