Suffolk police are investigating a double stabbing that sent two teenage girls to the hospital Tuesday night.
The incident happened about 8:52 p.m. in the 300 block of Hill Street in downtown Suffolk, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said in a press release. The location was originally reported to be on Holladay Street.
A 15-year-old victim was airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment, and her 17-year-old sister was taken by ground ambulance to the same hospital.
Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, Klink said.
The female suspect, also a juvenile, fled the scene. Police are aware of her identity but are not releasing it because she is a juvenile, Klink said.
The incident remains under investigation.
