World Class Gymnastics competitors helped Virginia teams to outstanding finishes in the Level 8 Regional Championships in Sewell, N.J. Saturday and Sunday.

The Regional Championships brings together teams of the best gymnasts from Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, West Virginia and Washington, D.C., with a team from each state.

The regional level is the highest a Level 8 gymnast can reach, and World Class had 10 gymnasts on the Virginia teams, ranging from ages 10-16. Bria Hill, Kristen Williamson, Hannah Mahanes, Kaitlyn Tudor, Katlyn Turek, Taylor Miezejeski, Jessica Scott, Hope Nelson, Athena Gibson and Grace Hoepfner were the Virginia gymnasts from World Class.

Miezejeski and Scott, both age 12, were two of the six gymnasts on the Junior C Team Virginia which tied for first. In the individual competition, Miezejeski won on beam with a score of 9.525, was second in the all-around and bars and third in the vault.

Virginia’s Junior A team finished second with Gibson, 11, on the team.

Virginia finished second in the Senior B division with Mahanes, 14, on the team.

Tudor and Turek, both 13, were on the third-place Virginia Senior A team.
