A Suffolk woman who recently won $100,000 in a Virginia Lottery scratcher game has found herself in trouble with the law after allegedly distributing prescription narcotics near a school bus stop, a city spokeswoman said.

Sharon Kay Revell, 47, was arrested May 31 and indicted on two charges of distributing Schedule I or II drugs, one charge of possession with the intent to distribute, and one charge of distribution or sale of drugs on or near school property, according to a press release from spokeswoman Diana Klink.

Revell won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s Jewel 7’s scratcher game in February 2013 from a ticket she bought at a Portsmouth 7-Eleven.

She told lottery officials she initially thought she had won $10,000 and was “dancing all through the house.” But when she scratched the rest of the ticket, she realized she had won the game’s top prize.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possibly forthcoming, Klink wrote in the press release.
