Sticky prank at King’s Fork

School administrators are glued to the television screens watching security camera video in an attempt to discover who tried to end the school year early at King’s Fork High School.
A school employee arrived about 6 a.m. Tuesday to find all 27 exterior doors glued shut, Suffolk Public Schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said.
City spokeswoman Diana Klink said the unknown suspects had glued coins to the key lock cylinders, preventing a door key from being placed in the lock.
However, the perpetrators made an error — one lock was not completely blocked by the glue, allowing the school’s plant engineer to get his key in and enter the building, Bradshaw said. The remaining doors could be opened from the inside.
“Administrators are reviewing security camera video in an attempt to identify suspects,” Bradshaw wrote in an email.
