The victims of Saturday’s deadly plane crash off Carolina Road have been positively identified by family members, according to Virginia State Police.

The pilot and owner was Barry Raymond Newgent, 73, of Davidsonville, Md., and Thomas Barry Newgent, 51, of Westminister, Md., was his passenger.

The plane went down in a field near a trailer park about 1 p.m. Saturday on its way to the Festival of Flight at the nearby Suffolk Executive Airport.
