After a week full of threats of violence at some of Suffolk’s high and middle schools, nobody took any chances when a kitchen steak knife was found on the floor of a boys’ bathroom at Lakeland High School Friday.

The knife was found between 9:30 and 11 a.m., city spokeswoman Diana Klink said. Some of the threats throughout the week were also found written on walls in bathrooms, prompting an extra level of precaution.

However, there are no suspects or witnesses at this time, Klink said.
