Cover 3 Foundation has received a $1,000 donation from Birdsong Peanuts in Suffolk.
“We are completely honored and so blessed to receive a donation from Birdsong Peanuts. This donation took us by complete surprise,” said Greg Scott, president and CEO of Cover 3 Foundation.
Birdsong Peanuts originally started as a storage company in 1911 and has become a world leader in the peanut industry. The company shells raw peanuts (purchased from peanut farmers) and markets them to customers throughout the world.
Birdsong Peanuts operates plants in Georgia, Texas and Virginia and supplies manufacturers both domestically and internationally.
“Receiving donations from local businesses enables our C3’s Kid’s Meal Program to continue to provide healthy and nutritious snacks and meals to over 1,300 at-risk children daily. We are amazed and humbled by all of the local support we have been given. Together with all of our Partners in Feeding we are truly making a difference,” Scott said.
