Saints tennis tops Windsor

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s boys’ tennis team beat Windsor High School 6-3 on the road on Friday.
Singles results were as follows:
- Kyle Hollowell (W) d. Corey Cutright (NS), 6-3, 6-2
- Tucker Firnstahl (NS) d. Ethan Bates (W), 6-4, 5-7, 10-8
- Jackson DeMello (NS) d. Dan Klausmeier (W), 6-0, 7-5
- Preston Firnstahl (NS) won by default due to injury
- Nathan Pharr (NS) d. Stephen Hurst (W), 6-0, 6-1
- Ryan Witherow (NS) d. Derek Klausmeier (W), 6-3, 6-0
Doubles results were as follows:
- Kyle Hollowell and Dan Klausmeier (W) d. Corey Cutright and Preston Firnstahl (NS), 9-7 (7-2)
- Jackson DeMello and Tucker Firnstahl (NS) won by default due to injury
- Ethan Bales and Stephen Hurst (W) d. Natale Carollo and Cameron Bruce (NS), 8-1
The Saints are 1-0 for the season. Windsor is 0-1.
