Lillian Lynette Boone, 75, of 9898 Southwestern Blvd., Suffolk, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Cofield, N.C., and the daughter of the late Lee Combo and Alease Hall.
She attended Nansemond County Training School. She retired as a bus driver with the STOP Organization. She was a member of New Olive Branch Baptist Church in Suffolk.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, James E. Boone; three daughters, Deborah Russell (Reginald), Beverly Parker (James “Bobby”) and Lora Hunter (Theodore), all of Suffolk; two sons, Carris Manson (Rita) and Joseph Manson, both of Suffolk; one stepson, Edward Malone Jr.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mattie Copeland, of Suffolk, Clarice Copeland, of Cofield, N.C., Carolyn Combo, of Cofied, N.C., Gloria Smith, of Georgia, and Margaret Hall (Mark), of Suffolk; one brother, William Combo (Linda), of Cofield, N.C.; aunts, Jessie Deans, of Norfolk, and Naomi Boykins, of Suffolk; uncle, Warrenton Manley; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2011 at Corinth Chapel U.C.C., eulogist, the Rev. Jerry Boone, and officiated by Pastor John T. Myers.
