SUFFOLK — James “Pee Wee” Harvey III, of the 500 block of Chisholm Lane, Suffolk, died Feb. 22, 2011 at Sentara Obici Hospital.
He was a native of Suffolk.
He was the son of the late James Harvey II and Beulah Mae Harvey.
James was preceded in death by one brother, Jerome Harvey; three sisters, Mary Harvey, AJane Harvey and Dorothy Harvey; one daughter, Tracey Hardy; and one son, Willie Savage.
He was a butcher for Suffolk Packing Company for a number of years until his health started failing.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Lydell Walker (Diane), of Portsmouth, and Dexter Harvey, of Suffolk; two sisters, Beulah Phillips, of Suffolk, and Ruby Warren, of Alexandria; one brother, Vernon Harvey (Shirley), of Suffolk; five grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a devoted friend, Mary A. Stevenson, of Suffolk.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at noon at Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. Larry A. Parker.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Wyatt & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Suffolk.
Family and friends will assemble at 1018 White Marsh Road, Suffolk, one hour prior to service. Final care is entrusted to Wyatt & Sons Funeral Home, Suffolk.
