Polly Jane Worrell, 78, of Suffolk, Va., passed away on Feb. 4, 2011. A native of Holland, Va., she was the daughter of the late Samuel James Worrell and Mary Jane Holland Worrell. She was also predeceased by a sister, Willie Mae Blythe; and brothers, Elmo Worrell, Clinton C. Worrell, Linwood Worrell, Roy E. Worrell and S. Jimmie Worrell. After 43 years of service she retired as secretary to the director of the Tidewater Agricultural Research Division of VPI.

She is survived by her sisters, Lucille Judkins, Nell Williams, Gladys Spivey, Mary Edith Carter, and a sister-in-law, Inez Story Worrell.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, Va., with the Rev. Ray Felton officiating. A time of visitation with the family will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association, P.O.
