Chamber membership has many benefits

To the editor:

The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is conducting a membership event this week like no other. For “Mission Possible,” 150 Chamber members are volunteering their time and working against the clock and each other to sign up new chamber members and create a greater awareness of the important role the chamber plays in the business community.

Tuesday’s efforts brought in 92 new Chamber members!

The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce was established in 1801 and is one of the nation’s oldest Chambers. Since then, the Chamber has been successfully creating economic prosperity and enhancing the quality of life in the region.

With nearly 2,000 member firms, the Hampton Roads Chamber is the largest in the state. The Chamber offers networking opportunities, business education classes, advertising and sponsorship opportunities and cost saving benefits programs — and it promotes pro-business policies in local and state government.

As the Chamber’s Suffolk Division Chair and a “Mission Possible” volunteer, I encourage you to join the Chamber by 3 p.m. Thursday. Call me at 934-2113 or the Chamber’s membership director, Sandy Sekeet, at 664-2530.

If you join by Thursday, you’ll receive a free booth at an upcoming Chamber trade show.
