IWA sweeps Metro foe

Brandon Privette and Nathan Sivertson combined for 43 of Isle of Wight’s 57 points as the Chargers went to 7-0 in the Metro Conference with a 57-48 win at StoneBridge in Chesapeake Tuesday night.

Privette, a senior guard, led the Chargers with 22 points. IWA led 33-30 through three quarters before pulling away. Sivertson, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, led IWA down the stretch scoring 16 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter.

Luke Unsworth led StoneBridge (6-9, 3-5) with 14 points, including four three-pointers in the fourth period.

Isle of Wight (13-2, 7-0) continues with road conference games, playing at Denbigh Baptist Thursday evening and at Williamsburg Christian Tuesday.

The Lady Chargers (7-5, 3-2) beat visiting StoneBridge 33-23 Tuesday evening. IWA won the third quarter 8-3 to take a 25-17 lead to the last period.

The Lady Chargers host Denbigh Baptist Thursday at 7 p.m.
