A man accused in an Aug. 18 rape was indicted by the grand jury Monday.

It was among 129 indictments against 50 defendants.

William Dejon Jennings is charged with rape by force, threat or intimidation. A woman reported she had been raped at a party in the vicinity of Brook Avenue and Duke Street, according to police.

The woman said a man held her down and began having sex with her, and another man was touching her.

She later walked home, changed clothes and went to bed, but reported to the police department later after telling her boyfriend about the incident.

Charges were later dismissed for lack of probable cause against a second man arrested in the case. A charge of abduction against Jennings was dismissed, but the rape charge was sent to the grand jury.

His arraignment is set for Nov. 29.
