Thelma C. Bagner, of the 5600 block of Godwin Boulevard, Suffolk, Va., transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital after a brief illness.
She was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church and was affiliated with the music, deaconess, golden age, hospitality, and TIP (Taking It Public) ministries of the church.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 59 years, James R. Bagner Sr., of Suffolk; her loving daughter, Joyce B. Carney (Ben), of Suffolk; three sons, Marvin Williams, of Suffolk, Morris Williams (Diedre), of California, and James R. Bagner Jr., of Suffolk; a sister, Delma W. Robinson (Larry), of Carrollton; a brother, Wiley P. Williams Jr. (Christine), of Sedley; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at noon on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at the Christian Home Baptist Church, Windsor, Va. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at the church from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Pretlow and Chapman Funeral Home will be officiating the service.
