King’s Fork High School’s Miguel Ramos broke a personal record again to lead the school’s boys’ cross-country team to a ninth-place finish in week four’s Southeastern District meet on Thursday.

Nansemond River High School bested King’s Fork and Lakeland for the best finish of the Suffolk teams. The Warriors took eighth place, and the Cavaliers took 10th.

Individual scores contributing to King’s Fork’s total were as follows: Miguel Ramos, 16; Maurice Huff, 59; Connor Lawson, 60; Brandon Allen, 62; and Carr Darion, 65.

Individual scores contributing to Lakeland’s total were as follows: Jake Crowell, 41; Jeremy Hill, 55; Dylan Ayers, 63; Tristan Bucker, 64; and Ryan Dudley, 68.

 

In the girls’ cross-country meet, Nansemond River placed sixth out of the eight schools fielding teams. King’s Fork placed seventh. Lakeland High School did not field a girls’ team.
