Miss Lucinda V. Copeland, of Chesapeake, Va., departed this earthly life on Oct. 7, 2012, at the age of 61 years old. Lucinda was born in Suffolk, Va., to the late Woodrow W. Copeland and Doris Lucy Greene. She was also predeceased by her sister, Claretta Russell.

Lucinda leaves to cherish her memories; four sisters; Doris Betty Jean Baskerville, of Suffolk, Carolyn Bland, of Chesapeake, Va., Barbara Sutton, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Stella Cook, of Butner, N.C.; one uncle, Roger Greene, of Detroit, Mich. She will be missed by her nine nieces and nephews, her special friends, Harvey Whitney and Mary Sykes, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral of triumph will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at noon, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home Inc., 685 Carolina Road, Suffolk.
