The First Baptist Christian School junior varsity and varsity girls’ volleyball teams will participate in a breast cancer awareness event called Dig For the Cure 2012 hosted by the Isle of Wight Academy girls’ volleyball team on Friday night.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a volleyball game pitting IWA alumni against each other. It will be followed at 7 p.m. by a special match-up between the Lady Crusaders and Lady Chargers teams, which comprise JV and varsity players.
There will be concessions, bake sale items provided by parents, and multiple raffle prizes. In lieu of an admittance fee, spectators will be encouraged to make donations to Isle of Wight/Surry Relay for Life. All money generated from the night will go to that organization.
