Jamie Lynn Carr and Stephen Kelly Pearce happily announce their engagement.

Miss Carr is the daughter of Mr. Thomas Carr and Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Claud Jr., all of Zuni, the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Ginger Pittman, of Zuni, and the late Mr. Gordon Pittman, and the paternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Carr, of Zuni. She is a 2007 graduate of Windsor High School and is currently in her senior year at Christopher Newport University. She will graduate in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, focusing in management, and a minor in communications.

Mr. Pearce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen E. Pearce, of Windsor, the maternal grandson of Mrs. Francis Pritchett, of Smithfield, and the late Mr. William Pritchett, and the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pearce, of Chesapeake. He is a 2005 graduate of Windsor High School and is currently employed at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding in Newport News.

The couple plans to wed in early 2012.
