Wanted: Leaders willing to stand firm

To the editor:
I so appreciate the questions that Ed Fancher put forth for us to consider in Tuesday’s edition of the Suffolk News-Herald (“A choice to make in November”) as we approach the upcoming election.
When I think about the candidates and how they have served in the past, I see the track records of individuals such as Congressman Randy Forbes, who has represented the Judeo-Christian foundations of our nation, government and founding documents nobly and well.
I truly count him among the heroic men and women who so valiantly fought to secure our God-given rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness throughout our nation’s life.
In light of the fact that we already have strong advocates for these positions within our Congress today, it is my hope that all branches of the government will have leaders willing to stand for conservative values. I believe it is not beyond the realm of possibility if we all do our part and participate in this upcoming critical election.
Our children, our cities, and our nation are counting on us to choose wisely this November.
