Ralph Junious White, 69, of 219 Prospect Road, Suffolk, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late William White and Celia White.

He attended Southwestern High School. He retired as a construction worker. Ralph was a former member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Benita Jeanette White, of Lakeland, Fla.; one grandchild, Tamia Shanel Cherry; one sister, Geneva Evans, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, Joe L. White (Odell), of Suffolk; sister-in-law, Ida C. White, of Newport News, Va.; four nieces, Teresa Evans, Levern Bassey (Magnus), Toni Kennedy and Randy Evans; three nephews, Elvis White (Doris), Chrispin White (Renee) and Ledell White (Geraldine); other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Joseph L. Hill. Interment will be in Langston Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ledell White, 807 Seminole Drive, Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
