H.M. White Trans-portation Inc. of Suffolk has received the Safety Excellence Award from Lancer Insurance Company. The award recognizes the company’s safety record for the 2011 policy year.

Lancer, the nation’s leading provider of bus insurance to companies in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, instituted its Safety Excellence Award program in 1993 to single out for recognition companies that demonstrate a commitment to the safety of their customers and employees, as reflected by a superior claims record.

“We’re extremely pleased to recognize these exemplary companies,” Lancer vice president and director of safety and loss prevention Bob Crescenzo said.

“We believe that it is very important that recipient companies’ management, drivers, mechanics and support staff be publicly acknowledged for performing their critical jobs at a level that not only meets, but often exceeds, industry standards,” Crescenzo said.
