Timothy A. Leslie was born July 28, 1945 to the late Detective Garriss G. and Aretha P. Leslie in Montclair, N.J. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Theresa Kline.

Tim attended Montclair High School and continued his education in the U.S. Navy. After being discharged from the Navy, he joined the Reserves. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 34 years, Viola Marie Archer Leslie; children, Eric Leslie (Cynthia), Garriss Leslie, Sonya Leslie, Tonya Parks (Thomas), Linda A. Andrews (Horace), Debbie Hairston, Darin Boykins and Kameen Boykins (Denise); sister, Patricia Dawson; mother-in-law, Otelia Archer; sisters-in-law, Irene Goodman (Glenn) and Ethel D. Blount (George); brothers-in-law, David Archer (Marie) and George Archer; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Robert Wilkins. Entombment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
