Bennie Goodman White, 64, of 804 Constance Road, Suffolk, Va., passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Gates County, N.C. and the son of the late Shelly White Sr. and Beulah Mae White-Trotman. He attended Faith Walk Gospel Fellowship Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Martha Ann White Boothe, Yvette White Jenkins and Shayvonne Parker White, all of Suffolk; three sons, Bennie White Jr. (Stephanie), Bille White Virzell and Quinten White, all of Suffolk; two sisters, Ruby Tyson (Odell), of Philadelphia, Pa., and Alice Wynn, of Chesapeake, Va.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Martha L. Mizell; devoted friends, Virginia L. Harris, Dorothy Everett; godsons, Robert Bailey Jr. and John Elliott; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. in New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries officiated by Elder David D. Williams Jr. Interment will be in Union Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Corapeake, N.C. The family will be receiving friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at the funeral home.
