Helen Lewis, 72, of 302 Cedar St., Suffolk, passed away Sept. 3 at Autumn Care Suffolk. A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Lewis and Lucy Johnson Lewis. She was a retired homemaker.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Florence Hunter (Joshua) of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Elizabeth Thomas of Suffolk; one brother, Junius Lewis of Suffolk; a devoted niece, Joyce Best of Suffolk; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8 in the Crocker Funeral Home chapel, 900 E. Washington St., with Elder Harvey Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
