Larry Bullock Sr.

Larry Thomas Bullock Sr., of 8 Vaughn Court, Portsmouth, Va., peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He graduated from the John F. Kennedy High School class of 1969. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired form the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth.
He was an active member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and choir members.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, best friend and soulmate of 35 years, Elizabeth Dawson Bullock; two sons, Larry T. Bullock Jr. (Juanita), Gary T. Bullock (Dakita); one daughter, Ebony (Bullock) Hudson (Eric); two granddaughters, Jazmyn Parker and Jayla Bullock; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bullock Jr., of Suffolk; three brothers, McKinsey (Linda), Michael (Shelia), and Bernard Bullock; two sisters, Wilma and Jacquelyn Bullock, all of Suffolk; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The homegoing service will be Monday, May 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth, Va., officiated by Bishop James M. Whitaker and the Rev. Dr. Mark Whitaker. The interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Ceemtery, Norfolk, Va. The family will gather at his daughter and son-in-law’s home, 2049 Brian’s Lane, Suffolk, Va.
The services of the late Mr. Larry Thomas Bullock Sr. are entrusted to the professional staff at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, Va.
