Most of the city is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:15 p.m. for a line of severe thunderstorms moving through the area.

The thunderstorms are capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 miles an hour, destructive hail, deadly lightning and very heavy rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Residents should quickly move to an interior room on the lowest floor of the building, staying away form windows. Drivers should not proceed into areas where water covers the road.
