Violet King

Violet Loreatha King, 79, of 112 North 10th St., Suffolk died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Tynie Foreman Bell and Roosevelt Bell.
She attended East Suffolk High School and retired from the Butterdish Co. after 25 years of service. She was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, William King; three daughters, Vivian Thomas, Ethel Johnson (Elder Wallace) and Angela Eure, all of Suffolk; one son, Floyd King, of Suffolk; one sister, Ida Mae Brown, of Suffolk; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces, Shirley Brinkley, Portia Bell, and Edna Bell; other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at noon, Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at Greater Sweet Beulah officiated by Suffragan Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
