Hunter Richardson

Hunter Davis Richardson, 23, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 27, 2009. Born April 27, 1986 he was the son of Ira J. and Dana L. Richardson, of Suffolk, paternal grandson of the late Ira J. and Charlotte F. Richardson, maternal grandson of Charles and Jacquelyn Leonard, of Norfolk. In addition to his parents and maternal grandparents, Hunter is survived by his beloved dog, Maggie, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Hunter graduated from Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in 2004, where he played football and basketball. He was Offensive Player of the Year in 2003 as well as All-Conference and First Team All-State, Division 2 in 2003. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech in 2008, with a Bachelor of Science in agricultural and applied economics. He was employed by Skiff’s Creek Towing of Hampton.
Hunter was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing, surfing, and living life to the fullest. He never met a stranger. Although he had a strong sense of humor, and a keen wit, he will always be remembered as a kind man with an old soul and a big heart.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Centenary United Methodist Church, Portsmouth, VA 23703 by the Rev. George B. Neas. Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk VA 23435 is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
