Essie Paramore Purdy, 99, of Suffolk, died Dec. 20, 2009.
A funeral will be held Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with the Rev. William Paramore Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. for visitation and other times at the residence of Geraldine Matthews.
