SUFFOLK — Brian David Thomas, a loving husband, father, and son, 33, died April 20, 2010 in Suffolk.
Brian was born in Reno, Nevada, and served in the U.S. Army for five years, in the Army Reserves for three years, and for the last nine years, Brian was a Virginia State Trooper.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christina D. Thomas; son, Donovan P. Thomas; daughters, MacKenzie J. Engel and Madison E. Thomas; parents, Phillip and Elizabeth Thomas; sister, Stacy Sinkoski and husband, Michael; aunts, Mary Grubs and Ida Cole; father and mother-in-law, Vern T. and Pamela D. DuBois Sr.; sister-in-law, Catherine Durand and husband Ruben; brothers-in-law, Vern T. DuBois Jr., Thomas A. DuBois, Richard E. Adams, Timothy D. DuBois; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Allen Lancaster, with burial at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Suffolk Police Officers Association, Local 780, P.O.
