Willie Holliman

Willie Joe Holliman, 62, of 211 Bute St., Suffolk, died Monday, April 26, 2010 in Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of Arthur and Virtley Holliman.
He attended Southwestern High School. He retired from Smithfield Meat Company after 29 years of service. Mr. Holliman was a member of Kings Grove Holiness Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Barbara Blow Holliman; two daughters, Crystal Nicole Holliman, of Memphis, Tenn., and Sherie N. Blow-Whitfield (David), of Suffolk; mother and father, Arthur and Virtley Holliman, of Windsor, Va.; three sisters, Charlene Lassiter (Shelton), Shelia Holliman Warren, Ruth Williams, all of Suffolk; four brothers, Arthur Holliman II, Leffery Holliman (Donna), Harvey Holliman (Sharon), all of Suffolk, and Jeffery Holliman, of Windsor, Va.; a devoted friend, Jimmie Wiggins; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Crocker Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. John H. Kindred. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family is at 509 Millers Court, Suffolk. The family will assemble at 211 Bute St. for the procession to the church on Saturday. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
