Ethel A. Valentine died on May 7, 2010, in Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mahan.
Her survivors include her loving and faithful brother, Claude Valentine, and a loving sister, Lucille Valentine, both of Suffolk; one sister -in law, Roseanne Valentine of Portsmouth and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Ethel Davis Valentine, three brothers, Alphonso, George and Willie Valentine, and a sister, Catherine Valentine.
A funeral of triumph will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Mahan Street, with Dr. Steven Blunt officiating. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at her sister’s residence, 205 Walnut St.
