Anita Marie Thompson-Parker, lovingly nicknamed “Nita Girl,” departed this earthly life on July 10, 2010 in Richmond, Va. A funeral of triumph will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 116 Romans Road, Suffolk. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The family will assemble at the funeral home on Friday at 12:30 p.m. for the funeral processional. Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the home going service.
