Ruth M. Parker

Ruth M. Parker, 93, of 1441 Welcome Road, Portsmouth, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
A native of Whaleyville, she was the widow of Earl R. Parker.
She was a member, deaconess and former choir member at Tabernacle UCC, Suffolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy P. Davis of Portsmouth; a foster daughter, Lorice DeLoatch of Suffolk; three grandchildren, Joyce D. Reavis, and husband, James M. Reavis, and Haroleen D. Ray, all of Portsmouth, and Willie Lee Davis of Ft. Washington, Md.; four great-grandchildren; three foster great-grandchildren; and several other relatives, in-laws and friends.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Tabernacle UCC by Dr. Carlton R. Upton Sr. Burial will be in the Langston Family Cemetery, Suffolk.
Viewing takes place until 10 a.m. today in Corprew Funeral Home.
The body will be taken at 11 a.m. today to the church.
Nancy Williams
Nancy Williams, 76, of 1026 Anderson St., Norfolk, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, in Autumn Care of Chesapeake. She was a native of Baltimore, Md.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangement.
