Berry earns baseball honors

Mount Olive College baseball player Jermaine Berry, a Nansemond River High School alumnus, has been named to the Daktronics All-Southeast Region and the NCBWA Division II Baseball All-Southeast Region second teams.
The Daktronics award is administered by the College Sports Information Directors of America, and the NCBWA award is administered by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Berry, a junior third baseman, hit .386 with three home runs and 49 runs batted in. Berry had the fourth highest batting average in Conference Carolinas and ranked sixth in total hits. He had four 4-hit games this season, including a 4-for-5 6-RBI performance against Coker.
