Kerry Jones

On Friday, May 11, 2012, God called home one of his own, Kerry Jones. He was a native of Nansemond County, born on Aug. 13, 1947. He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, the first graduating class of 1965.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and employed at Perfection Meadows in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of Broadway Christian Church, where he served as deacon.
He leaves to treasure lasting and loving memories his mother, Velma Brownson, of Suffolk; his wife, Elizine Jones; two sons, Melvin Jones, of Cleveland, Ohio; Desi Jones, of Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Kelsey Jones, of Orlando, Fla.; four brothers, Anthony Jones and Bryant Dixon, of Suffolk; Ronald Reynolds and Donald (Norma) Reynolds, of Vineland, N.J.; five sisters, Diane Worrell, of Suffolk; Vallory Ward, of Hampton; Sandra Gay, of Suffolk; Renee Parker, of Newport News, and Vicky Dixon, of Franklin; a granddaughter, Brelynn Renee Jones, of Florida; four devoted friends, Isaiac Artis and June Clark (cousin), of Suffolk; Bruce Patton and Henry Staring, of Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Jones will be on view at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 22, from noon until the hour of service, and the funeral will take place at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
